Skills Development Centers

This program was initiated in 2002 with a skill development center in Mardan, where the girls from extreme poor background given opportunity to develop skills in sewing, netting, embroidery and decoration making to increase their earning and self-dependency.
The salient feature of the program is to give opportunity to the Afghan Refugees girls who were facing different social issues due to financial burden on their families. The center has train around 9000/ girls in different skills so far. Currently ZAMA Has three centers and the forth one is in pipeline to be establish in Rawalpindi Islamabad with special focus on the afghan girls.


This program is affiliated with government through Skills Development Council (SDC), now the girls graduated through this program will have a proper certified diploma from the government as the examination of the students will be conducted by SDC and diploma up-to Six months will be offer by the Government of Pakistan
ZAMA is running both the programs on self-help bases and did not engage any external donor so far.
